Engine 99 is a 100% volunteer daytime on duty engine crew. It was set up to provide a quick response of a fully
capable engine crew during daytime hours while man power levels are down. Engine 99 opperates in the central portion
of Broome County, NY including the fire districts of Chenango(66), Chenango Bridge(39), Chenango Forks(44), Choconut
Center(57), Hillcrest(55), Port Dickinson(35), Port Crane (37) and Prospect Terrace(63). While in service Engine 99
responds to any fire calls, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous conditions, and CPR's in all seven of these districts
as well as ems calls within the hosting departments district. The hosting department can supply the entire crew or simply
the driver for the day. Often times the crew is made up of members from several departments. The crew can also
respond outside the 99 district if requested by a non participating department.
